FY Poetry Slam, NPSOAK, Bawdy Storytelling, and CANADA!

Hey Folks!

I’ve got a lot going on these days. I’m on the host city committee for the Oakland National Poetry Slam August 5-9th! #npsoak

I’m attempting to create the first ever slam team formed entirely online to go to the National Poetry Slam! This opportunity came from the Spoken Word appreciation tumblr Fuck Yeah Poetry Slam. Head over to my youtube channnel to vote for your favorites in each slam. The slam’s have been divided into playlists so you can tell who is in which slam! Here’s an informational video for your enjoyment:

Speaking of youtube I’ve been asked to be the videographer for the Latino Spoken Word Festival!  Come hang out and see some great spoken word. April 5th at Books Inc on Market in the Castro, April 12th Magnet 4122 18th St., and April 19th at Galleria de la Raza in on 24th St in the Mission.  You can head over to show organizer Baruch Porras-Hernandez’s blog to stay updated on details about the shows!

I know what you’re thinking: “Wow WD those sound like some great shows but when can we see you perform?”
